Yeşilçam Band – Inspired by the Golden Age of Turkish Cinema

Yeşilçam Band was founded in 2013 by Ahmet Pekmezci. Pekmezci, who has been a bassist and backing vocalist for over 10 years in Türkiye's legendary rock band Bulutsuzluk Özlemi, has created a veritable time tunnel with Yeşilçam Band. The group brings the captivating atmosphere of the Yeşilçam era, the golden age of Turkish cinema, to the stage.

The Yeşilçam Band brings to life not only music on stage, but also the emotions, colors, hopes, and sorrows of an era. In each performance, unique scenes from Yeşilçam films are projected onto the screen, while the group performs the unforgettable songs of that period with their own distinctive interpretation. Listeners feel Sadri Alışık's smile, Türkan Şoray's tears, and Tarık Akan's rebellious gaze amidst the music.
